Mexico Benefits from ACES Diesel Formula

Mexico City has always struggled with emission problems due to the shear amount of vehicles in the city both Diesel and Gasoline.

 

We were asked to see if our ACES Diesel Formula would be able to positively effect the air quality while reducing CO2 emissions, increase equipment life and reduce fuel consumption.

Starting December 20 2017, we did baselines on 10 Mercedes Marco Polo Six Cylinder busses.   5 from 2006 and 5 from 2009.   We did baselines emissions for all the units and took oil samples from each unit.

We pulled injectors out of a 2006 and a 2009 for a before look at the engine and photographed the internals on top of the engine to see what the condition of the units were like.

We then proceeded to run the units from January 8th 2018 to August 15, 2018.

 

The results were  remarkable.   We saw an overall reduction in fuel usage of 15.87% on all 10 busses.  In post oil analysis, we found that 3 of the busses were leaking fuel into the oil and were sequestered from the numbers as that skews the results.  The other 7 busses averaged 21.3% reduction in fuel usage with the top 5 busses averaging 27.33% reduction in fuel usage.  This also produced an emission reduction of 45% compared to baselines.   Significant reductions in CO (Carbon Monoxide) Hexane C-6 (hydrocarbon), NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) and CO2 (Carbon Dioxide).

Understandably, the bus company was skeptical on the results and scheduled another evaluation on 4 busses to showcase what and how we did this first evaluation.   This time all of the officials and engineers watched intently on how we did what we did.   We did baselines on 4 busses which were 2009 Marco Polo Mercedes Six Cylinder units and did so at another Module from the original evaluation.

Again we did emission baselines on two units and oil analysis on all 4 units as a starting point.  We took fuel samples also for before our technologies and after to show that the fuel still met all the standards for Diesel 2 specfications.

The units were run on the ACES Diesel Formula every day and the units also received the ACES III Oil Catalyst for the oil changes at 3.25% by volume.   Since the units take 29 liters of oil each, 900 ml was added to the oil in the place of almost 1 liter of oil.

The results were again astounding.

 

Bus #1 – 29.05% reduction in fuel usage with 32.97% reduction in CO.  69.14% reduction in Hexane C6.  8.9% reduction in NOx.  4.86% reduction in CO2 with exhaust temperature down 16.86%.

Bus #2 – 30.00% reduction in fuel usage with 100% reduction in CO.   99.99% reduction in Hexane C6.  .94% reduction in NOx.  8.20% reduction in CO2 with exhaust temperatures down 27.10%.

Bus #3 – 23.8%  reduction in fuel usage but was not evaluated for emissions.

Bus #4 – sequestered due to significant fuel in the oil due to leaking injectors.

 

These three together received a 27.61% reduction in fuel usage with significant reductions in CO, Hexane C6, reductions in NOx and significant reductions in CO2 with lower exhaust temperatures.

This provided to the officials at the bus company all of the confidence to proceed in applying our technologies in all their busses.
